As you would expect, there are now tons of places to eat where you can use Apple Pay to pay for your meal. It would be nearly impossible to give you a complete list because there are already so many and more are being added all the time.
In the lists below I will cover some of the more popular ones and I have also categorized the restaurants into 4 different types. They are fast food, quick serve, full service, and specialty. I will briefly explain each type at the beginning of each list.
I’m sure you are familiar with fast-food restaurants. If not, no problem. They are the ones in which you order your food at the counter or a drive-thru and they have your food ready either immediately or very quickly.
The food is usually served in disposable containers or packaging so it is easy to take with you and eat on the go. It is normally cooked or heated up rapidly from the back kitchen and served to you as quickly as possible at the counter or drive-thru providing fast and tasty meals.
Below is a list of some of the more popular fast-food chains that will accept Apple Pay.
- Burger King
- Taco Bell
- Jack in the Box
- In-N-Out Burger
Quick serve restaurants have become very popular in the last decade. They are the ones in which you still order at the counter and get your food fairly quickly but you still get some level of service such as a person bringing the food or drinks to your table.
Many times you will watch them make your food right behind the counter and the quality of the ingredients is often a step up from what you would get from fast food. I’m sure you will recognize some of the ones we have listed below that do accept Apple Pay.
- Panera Bread
- Panda Express
- Jersey Mike’s
- Jimmy Johns
- Five Guys
These are the traditional dining places where you sit down at a table and a waiter or waitress takes your order, brings your food, refills your drinks, brings your bill, and all of that. From diners to chain restaurants, to fine dining, many now take this form of payment.
- Outback Steakhouse
- Olive Garden
- Waffle House
- Johnny Rockets
- Buffalo Wild Wings
This category encompasses those places which specialize in a specific type of food or beverage. They may have other items but their main focus is on one specialty such as a pizza place, coffee shop, or a donut or cookie store.
They have been around forever, but current trends have created many new specialty restaurants where you can get some delicious items.
These are springing up everywhere and one of the great things about these newer places is Apple Pay can be used as a form of payment at many of them. Below are some of the most common ones that you are probably already familiar with.
- Baskin Robbins
- Ben & Jerry’s
- Cold Stone
- Dairy Queen
- Dunkin’ Donuts
- Jamba Juice
- Krispy Kreme
- Little Ceasars
- Papa Johns
- Peet’s Coffee
- Pizza Hut
- Auntie Annie’s
